I work for American Electric Power, also known as AEP. I am based in Roanoke, VA and I am the IT Telecom Director of Operations for AEP companies Appalachian Power Company and Kentucky Power Company. I started my AEP career in 1985 in the T&D Communications department, working as a field engineer/technician in Bluefield, WV. I transferred to our engineering office in Roanoke in 1988, where I worked as a Telecommunications engineer until 1995. Since then I've worked in multiple leadership roles within Telecom and IT, and have enjoyed all of it.
I've been married to my wife Teresa since 1986, and we have two daughters, Ashley and Kelly, who are grown and working in their own careers. I enjoy my family, church, and outdoor activities. I enjoy Aikido and watching all types of sports, especially Virginia Tech football. And of course, I enjoy participating in the UTC. Life is good!
