It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of UTC President and CEO, Connie Durcsak. We are all in a state of extreme shock at this unbelievable loss. Connie was a strong leader, a great visionary, and a forward thinking, outstanding CEO. As we grieve, we ask for your support and prayers for Connie's family, friends and the UTC staff.
UTC CFO, Steve Vick, has been named interim CEO. The UTC staff is fully underway with planning for near-term and long-term needs of the organization. Working with the Board of Directors, the staff is dedicated to ensuring that what Connie started within UTC and our industry will continue to flourish and grow.
Currently there are no other details available and nothing more can be shared with regards to arrangements. The family asks for your understanding during this time as they need private time to work through this. You may refer any questions or concerns to the UTC staff.
